LONDON'S BEST GHOST WALK GUIDES

I have now spoken to my colleagues regarding Saturday night's Ghost Walk and the everybody had a really good time.

We would especially like you to pass on our thanks to Kathy for her enthusiastic and skilful story-telling.

MIKE. GROUP LEADER. 26TH SEPTEMBER 2009.

EXPLORE THE SHADOWS AND EXPERIENCE THE HORRORS.

This is the haunted London walk that is led by the legendary woman in black. Her name is unknown. Her place of residence is a mystery.

Yet, On Friday 30th October 2009, she will appear on the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral and lead intrepid ghost hunters on her celebrated haunted London walk to seek out the mysteries to be found in  City of Dreadful Night.

On Sunday nights the City Streets are empty and silent. Its courtyards and alleyways echo to the footsteps of those who dare to wander into them.

  • Who knows what foul deeds, past or present, might be awaiting your discovery?
  • Who can predict what long ago horrors might be encountered in the dark recesses that the woman in black's haunted London walk explores?
  • Who can say what forlorn souls from times gone by might walk once more the places that they knew so well in life?

The Woman in Black most certainly does and she will lead you through the churchyards, hidden recesses, dark courtyards and timeless alleyways where ghosts are known to lurk.

  • You will hear of the ghostly cleric that whistles his weary way across the marble floor tiles of one of St Paul's Cathedral's side chapels.
  • On the cracked and crumbling steps of one of the city's lesser known buildings you will hear about the ghostly bell that tolls a mournful knell whenever a tragic event befalls a parish far, far away from London.
  • Steel yourself for the ghostly moment when your haunted London walk arrives at the sinister spot where the dreadful Black Dog of Newgate slithers its marrow chilling way across the blood drenched pages of London legend.
  • Stand on an ancient plague pit and listen for the moans and groans of long ago victims of the Black Death who may have been buried alive.
  • Enter a tumbledown churchyard where a lone monk keeps his weary vigil by the side of a time-worn tomb.
  • Walk the City Street where the ramifications of a 16th Century tragedy resurfaced again in May 2009, much to the consternation of the workmen who encountered it.

All this and more awaits you on a nerve-jangling journey through the ancient streets of the old city where a legion of lost souls have been just dying to make your acquaintance.
